A huge welcome to my website. Unfortunately I don’t currently sell from here as turnaround is far too fast to keep up with, but you can find my page over on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/justasecond21
Who am I?
Hi! I’m Jade and I own Just A Second Preloved Fashion.
This business was actually an idea of my eldest daughter Imogen during lockdown in 2020. At the time I was also off work on maternity leave and finding the days very long and lonely…despite having a baby and a 10 year old to keep me busy. So I began tackling my wardrobe and realised I’d hoarded tons of stuff I’d never wear again or that I’d even removed the tags from, so Imogen suggested setting up a page on Facebook and selling them on there. It did really well and quickly grew until people were requesting other sizes, so Imogen and I spent our days scouring the internet for decent bundles to buy and sell on.
After a couple of months I registered as a sole trader and started to treat my business as a business and not just a hobby. Then an opportunity arose to work for my sister, so I left my actual job to work for her and work on growing my business too. I’ve never looked back!
Just A Second is still a very small business but a very, very fast one!

How does it work?
So, here’s how it works over on Facebook…..
Uploads drop weekly, usually from Wednesday onwards but sometimes other days too. Currently no set days/times for these – it’s just when it works for me.
Turnaround is very, very quick so if you see something you like and it’s not yet marked as SOLD be quick to comment with a ‘yes please’ or ‘me please’…something along those lines. If you’re first to comment (occasionally people do message with requests – though comments are preferred) I will ‘like’ your comment and then be in touch shortly.
I offer a “pay as you go’ bundle service so that you can gradually build a bundle up over time and take full advantage of the post charge. You can usually fit a good 7/8 items in one parcel for the same price as sending one item! So I like you to get your monies worth! You can of course have something posted straight out if that’s what you want.
Post is with Royal Mail at a cost of £3.50 – this may increase very slightly soon as it no longer covers my packaging costs. I haven’t increased the charge since I began the business in 2020. If you are local, you are more than welcome to collect.
All items are washed but not ironed. I check for flaws and mention any minor ones on an otherwise nice item. Occasionally I do miss things though, I get through hundreds of items a week so it is going to happen. If you receive something you’re not happy with, please just let me know and I will refund or offer credit – whichever works for you.
Finally if you have any concerns I’m sure my lovely customers will vouch for me and you can see some reviews that have been left on the page. Any questions please get in touch.
